OUR STORY
Challenged by South African surfing mates in Durban to come up with a new solution to secure and simplify how boards are transported on roof racks, LOCKRACK founder Brad Foster took seven years to tinker around and finally engineer an award-winning design. Along the way, he overcame life-changing events and tragedies.
Losing a wife to cancer, and breaking his neck in a surfing accident have been major emotional and physical hurdles that Brad has had to overcome to realize a dream of inventing the ultimate lockable roof rack system for all types of watercraft.
Patented worldwide, the inventive LOCKRACK vehicle roof carrier took years to of design and engineering to perfect. Made entirely of durable and weather-resistant aluminum, glass-filled nylon, stainless steel and rubber, the system has been nominated for International Outdoor Product of the Year in Sweden. Manufactured in Durban, South Africa, the LOCKRACK watersport utility rack (with adjustable bars and arms) attaches to any type of vehicle or roof bar made by brand leaders like Thule and Yakami.
